Dedicated to the craft since age 11 - Jennifer Merchant is the director and mind behind Néla.  She graduated from the world renowned Stella Adler Academy, where she studied the art of acting after winning a full scholarship. Miss Merchant is the youngest female director to be nominated for 'Best Director' at the Cinewomen FilmFest in Los Angeles.

Jennifer is also the director behind Ebru - the world's first coming-of-age short film that features a headscarf wearing teenager. It was submitted to the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
